I recently saw a Facebook post that said “It feels like its January 75^th!!!! I don’t know about ya’ll but I feel exactly like that right now. It’s just so blah with the weather, and lack fresh air and lack of sunshine… It just feels like winter is never ending. That’s why I have to have a cute outfit, fun event or new show to look forward to. So, this super comfy pink sweater dress is from Loft. We are packing for a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains this weekend with 4 other couples and our kids. And I have been watching a new show on Fox called The Resident. So let’s talk about this dress first. There is nothing more comfortable. The peplum sleeves give it an extra fun element and the fabric is almost a sweatshirt material but it’s still dressy enough for office wear. I paired it with a J Crew Factory necklace that goes with just about everything. The pearls, tortoise shell and gold make for a great combination. The boots are older, Old Navy, which I have been wanting to update. The link shows some similar boots. And I think I have just about every color in these Loft sunglasses. I love this frame and the retro feel they have. My “photographer” and best, good friend Ashley, (who got the Forrest Gump reference there?) had me laughing because she insisted I Dab while we took pictures. I am not hip and young, so this was the best I could do… haha… We were both cracking up!

As I said earlier we are headed to the Blue Ridge Mountains Friday for a cabin getaway with friends and their kids, 8 kids in total. I’m not sure if we will do any relaxing however we're going to try our best. It’s just going to be low key; pajamas, popcorn, hot chocolate and fireplace sitting. We will be gone for only two days but I am sure with all these kids there will be stories to tell. Hopefully I’ll have some good posts with pics coming up about all the fun we have!

And about this new show, The Resident, if you were a fan of Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls you are going to like this show. I always loved him on Gilmore Girls with that smile, his lets have some fun attitude, and his rebellion against the powers at be…. He is similar in this show, but with more power and smarts to go with it. So glad I gave this one a shot. There are only 3 episodes so far so you can watch them all on demand to catch up pretty quickly. It comes on Monday nights but I watch everything on Netflix or Hulu so I’m always a day late, at the least, on the new episodes. Give it a shot. I know what you are thinking.. “That there weren’t already enough hospital dramas on prime time TV for the last, what... 20 years?... But it’s got something to it. Time will tell if it makes it past season 1 and gets the green light for another season or two but this kid, Matt Czuchry, should have been a lead on his own show long ago in my opinion. He’s got it! Enjoy your weekend folks. Mine starts early tomorrow, well after I pack and clean, which I am not looking forward to. But it’ll be worth the time away with friends.
