Easter Weekend Highlights and Links to our Looks

Me and my girl!
Our holiday weekend was a sweet one with our little crew. We had talks of what Easter is really about, which led to questions and answers their little minds couldn't quite wrap around but at least the seeds are planted and their hearts are growing in the right direction. We made memories and visited with family and ate yummy food and took lots of pictures to prove it. We started off a bit wobbly with an unwelcome refrigerator repair bill, an early morning nosebleed and 45 degree/rainy weather for our first egg hunt, which we substituted with Easter cookie decorating instead. However I am choosing to remain thankful for our long weekend and the reason we celebrated all weekend long, our Savior and King who made the ultimate sacrifice!
We decorated Easter cookies from Sugar Chic Bakery in Ringgold, Ga. They have super convenient, easy to use decorating kits for most holidays. These were picked up last minute in lieu of our egg hunt and thank goodness for them. The kids needed something to put their endless energy into after being cooped up in the house on a cold, rainy day. Cause you know... its spring in the south and you never know what your gonna get! And the next day was sunny and 75! Cause you know... its spring in the south!!! (Insert Eye roll Here)
There was church, eating, an egg hunt, messes made, meltdowns had, no naps, lots of candy and tired parents, as always. Our little family, extended family and friends all make holidays such a precious time. We were busy but we were full of love and life! There is nothing better than this time with my loves.
Our Styles
The links to all of our looks are listed under each picture.
JCREW Factory has some great deals when you can catch them. My pink gingham dress and the boys plaid shirts are from there and I couldn't pass them up! I have a lot of gingham and it seems to be an in pattern this spring. My husband says I look like a picnic basket every time I wear the pattern. Fine by me... Cutest picnic basket in the park! Haha... And the boys shirts are quintessential Spring! Gap also has a similar pattern for their girls and boys clothes right now. I love the pastel multi-color plaid. You can pretty much match anything with those. This was our Saturday celebration with family and friends!

My Easter Sunday dress is from Roolee. I Love this site! Their dresses are my favorite! This is a dress I have had my eye on for a while and finally I got it on sale. Eek! Eyelet screams springtime to me and this rose color is my favorite.
The boys outfits are from The Children's Place... vests, ties, shirt and pants. Love my little men! These suit pieces thankfully do not stain easily, as I quickly found out. I spent almost an hour scrubbing orange candy die out of of Jackson's suit after he threw a bag of orange M&Ms into Aaron's aunt's pool and proceeded to sling it around all over the place before we left to come home. Ugh.. boys! But these suits were so cute on them and I was super pleased with the price. Only 10 bucks per piece! Steal of a deal I tell ya!

Aaron’s suit is from Indochino, a brand we initially heard about from a podcast and website my husband frequents called The Art of Manliness. If you’ve never heard of it take a minute to check it out! They have great articles on just about everything for men and women, finances, DIY, kids, family and with an ode to all things old school with a traditional Americana flair. It’s worth the daily read!! Indochino is a suit company that makes all their clothes from the buyer's specific measurements. It only took us 10 minutes to measure and input it all into their site. They also had a lot of options, colors, patterns and details to add to the suit if you so choose. He got his name embroidered on the inside of the jacket, which was a nice touch and could help if it's ever lost. They make you feel like this suit is just for you! And it was all super easy! The suit came a few weeks later and if there are any changes that need to be made they give you an alterations credit to do so. My husband loves it and it’s a great looking suit. I talked him into a vest as well because I just love a man in a vest! There is something about it that’s so very newsboy to me. Do you remember that movie?.. If not look it up. Haha... Men's fashion from the 30s and 40s is such a classic look to me. I have always loved that style/era.  And the boys obviously had to follow suit...Pun intended!
Caroline’s dress is by Mudpie. The knee socks are from amazon and so are her shoes! You can find anything on amazon. I never thought I'd be looking for baby clothes there but if I come across a sold out item anywhere else I always check Amazon to be sure they don't have it.  Mudpie has a lot of cute spring summer pieces and it’s always hard for me to narrow down my purchase. Pastel pinks and blues are simply spring time to me. And I wanted her first Easter dress to be special and I wanted us all to coordinate. We have late Easter pictures scheduled for this weekend and I’m hoping we get some good shots of us all! Wish us luck!

Jackson is over it and Sawyer's smile is hilarious!

Those faces...

I love the bunny detail on this dress! Not that you can see the bunny she is playing with in any of these pics but it's from Mudpie as well. The Easter bunny brought that... Wink Wink!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Talk to y'all soon.
Love Heather
