Classic Black and White

I work in an office of mostly casually dressed people. So I naturally have a lot of casual/dress clothes. I love to try different looks and styles and get a feel for what works for me. I often try on my outfits on Sunday nights and get them ready for the week just so I feel like I have that part of my morning figured out. Because when I look put together, I really feel like I do too...even though most days I am squealing into my parking garage on two wheels to get into work in one piece, after school and daycare drop off. I am the fastest mini van driver for miles around. I guarantee it!

Back to basics.... Also the title of a great 2006 Christina Aguilera album that if you haven't already gotten your hands on you totally should.... her style from that album is from one of my favorite eras. Ooooh and who is excited about the new Justin Timberlake album coming out February 2nd? Uh that'd be ME!!! But clothing basics is what I was going for...sorry about my squirrel moment... Pants, black pants... A great pair of Black Dress Pants are a necessity and the LOFT has us covered in that department. I don't wear black and white often but when I do I find myself wondering why I don't. It's such a "let's get down to business" classic look and I feel like I am making Audrey Hepburn proud in some way. Black and white has such a great "I got this" feel to it! Don't you agree? I mean a great starched collar Button Down and a crew neck sweater Similar top it off... and even if you don't know how to get the job done, whatever that job may be, you look and feel like you do. Fake it til you make it right? The shoes are Seychelles, a brand that has some great throw back styles and some gotta have contemporaries as well. I happen to have a small obsession with a great pair of heeled oxfords and Mary Janes while we're at it. Heck, I kinda have a shoe obsession in general...but I'll have to do a post about that on a later date, cause I could go on forever... I hope you all have a great day. And thanks so, so much for stopping by.

Talk to Ya'll soon.
Love Heather
